Dippy and Pip is a small, independent children's book project. This page explains, in plain English, what personal information we collect on this website, why we collect it, and what your rights are.
Who we are
This website is run by Jet Bedborough, trading as Dippy and Pip. If you have any questions about your data, you can reach us at jetbed@gmail.com.
What information we collect
When you sign up on our Get Notified page, we collect the name and email address you provide. We don't collect any other personal information, and we don't currently sell anything through this website, so no payment details are ever collected here.
How we use your information
We use your name and email address for one purpose only: to email you when Dippy and Pip is ready to launch, and to send occasional updates about the book's progress. We won't use your details for anything else, and we won't sell or rent your information to anyone.
Who we share it with
Your sign-up details are stored securely on our website (hosted by Hostinger) using a form plugin called Fluent Forms, and are sent to our email delivery service, Brevo, so we can email you. These are both service providers who process data on our behalf — they don't use your information for their own purposes.
How long we keep your information
We'll keep your details until Dippy and Pip has launched and any related updates have been sent, or until you ask us to delete them — whichever comes first. You can ask us to remove your details at any time (see "Your rights" below).
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask us what information we hold about you, to correct it if it's wrong, and to ask us to delete it. To do any of these, just email jetbed@gmail.com and we'll sort it out promptly.
Cookies
This site uses only the standard technical cookies that come with WordPress, the software that runs this website — these help pages load correctly and aren't used to track you around the internet. We don't currently use any advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes in future, we'll update this page.
Children's privacy
Dippy and Pip is a children's book, but this website's sign-up form is intended for parents, guardians, and other adults — not for children to fill in themselves. We don't knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy occasionally as the site develops. Any changes will be posted on this page.
